Were ABBA Predicting the Demise of the MEN Online Community

Were ABBA Really Predicting the Future?

ABBA, one of the most famous pop groups of the 70's and early 80's had a long list of hit singles. Their career spanned nearly 10 years and are still remembered fondly by their many fans.
So popular were ABBA's they also spawned a number of tribute bands to form over the last few decades.  However, was their singing career really just a 'front' to hide their 'uncanny' ability in predicting world changing events?

Our researcher this morning heard one of ABBA's most famous songs, SOS, and started to sing along to it*. It was during this 'trip down memory lane' that our researcher became aware that the song lyrics could have actually been predicting the now infamous MEN change to Facebook login and online comment format change; specifically the lyrics identifing how some commentators would now feel.

After undertaking an in-depth investigation, trying to find some evidence to support his theory, our researcher found none. Despite not finding any corroborating evidence for this conspiracy theory to defraud the public, it did not stop him from proposing this theory anyway.

What do you think, were ABBA able to predict the future?

* Upon hearing the singing, our researchers wife has applied for an ASBO to be issued to stop such events occuring in the future. An existing ASBO banning her husband from eating Kippers anywhere within 100 yards of the family home is still in effect.

  1. I remember REM warning us that "It's the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine)". The fortune telling powers of pop performers is increasingly overated.

Although the 1972 single by The Moody Blues "Chris Huhne is a liar" does take some explaining today.
