EU Deal on Budget, but Does the UK Pay More?

In what is touted as a victory for the UK and Mr Cameroon, the negotiations over the EU budget for the period 2014-2020 were agreed yesterday, pending approval by the EU Parliament.

The overall budget for the EU for the period will be approximately 3% lower than the current budget period.

However, what is not yet being widely publicised is that the UK contributions will actually go up during this period.  According to one source, The Independant, Mr Cameroon admitted that the annual UK contribution will still rise year on year, blaming (yet again) the previous labour Government.

We were going to add a tweet form UKIP, but we never listen to anything they say.

So was Mr Cameroons strategy flawed and has he again let the UK taxpayers down? You decide.
